About Me

I am a dually certified elementary teacher with twenty-six years of experience teaching K-5th art and 1st-4th grade self-contained classrooms. I hold a Masters in Art Education. Besides art and teaching, traveling has been one of my passions and I have been blessed with the opportunities to travel to several countries and experience different cultures. I also had the life changing experience of living and teaching in Japan for almost four years.

My personal art experiences have been mainly in photography with much of that documenting my life, my travels, portraits, and street photography. I have created in multiple art mediums, but have always been especially drawn to painting. I have won some awards with my photography and paintings, but one award I will always treasure was being voted as one of the "top ten most influential educators" by the graduating class (my former elementary art students). What an honor and a humbling experience.

I am also the mother of two wonderful adult children and grandmother to five incredible grandchildren. I am truly blessed!
